Terms of Use

Urania Terms of Use: your content, processing choices, account responsibilities and consumer rights.

Urania Terms of Use — Version 1.0

About these terms

These Terms govern your use of Urania by Athvani. Mandatory rights available to you under applicable law are not excluded by these Terms.

Your account

Urania can be used without a Urania Online account for supported local features. If you use Urania Online, you are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in account and for activity performed through it. Do not attempt to access another person's account or credits.

Your content

You retain your rights in recordings, text, images, documents, prompts and other content you provide, subject to rights held by other people. You must have the rights, authority and permissions required to record, upload or process content, including any consent required when recording other people.

AI processing and output

Urania can use on-device AI, Urania Online, or supported provider credentials you configure. AI, transcription, translation, summarisation and analysis can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Review important output before relying on it. Urania is a productivity tool and is not a substitute for qualified professional judgement in medical, legal, financial, safety, employment or other high-consequence matters.

Urania Online

Urania Online is optional. When selected, information required for the request is transmitted to Athvani-operated online infrastructure and to the AI provider used to perform the request. Online requests can require Urania Credits. A maximum credit charge is shown before a chargeable request is submitted, and settlement must not exceed the approved maximum.

Use Your Own APIs

When you configure your own supported provider credentials, requests are made using that provider relationship. The provider's terms, privacy practices, availability and charges apply. Requests using your own API credentials do not consume Urania Credits.

Acceptable use

You must not use Urania to violate law, infringe rights, gain unauthorised access, distribute malicious software, facilitate fraud or deception, exploit or abuse children, or intentionally generate or distribute unlawful or seriously harmful content. The separate Acceptable Use & AI Disclaimer provides additional guidance.

Intellectual property

Athvani retains its rights in Urania software, branding, design and documentation. Third-party software, models and content remain subject to their respective licences and rights. Rights in AI-generated output can depend on applicable law and provider terms.

Availability and changes

Features can depend on device capability, network connectivity, third-party services, provider availability and configuration. Athvani may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, technical or provider reasons.

Suspension

Access to Urania Online may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse or fraud, secure the service, comply with law, or address material violations of these Terms. Local features that do not require the affected service should not be disabled merely because an Online account is unavailable unless technically or legally necessary.

Liability and consumer rights

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Urania is provided without a guarantee that AI output will be error-free or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Third-party services

Google Play, authentication providers, AI providers and other services deliberately selected or required for a feature can apply their own terms and privacy practices.
